Who We Serve
You Don't Have to Face This Alone
Whether you're a teenager struggling to find your way, a parent watching helplessly, or a young adult trying to rebuild — Shepherd's Way is here for you.
Teens & Adolescents
You're not broken. You're not a bad person. You're a young person going through something really hard — and you deserve real support, not judgment. I create a space where you can be honest about what's happening without fear.
Young Adults
Early adulthood is a critical window. Whether you're just beginning to recognize a problem or you've been struggling for a while, now is the right time to reach out. I'll meet you exactly where you are.
Families & Parents
Watching your child struggle is one of the most painful experiences a parent can face. You need support too — not just your teen. I work with the whole family system because healing happens together.
For Teens & Adolescents
A Space That's Truly Yours
If you're reading this, something has brought you here. Maybe a parent found this page. Maybe you found it yourself. Either way, I want you to know: coming here took courage, and I respect that.
My sessions are confidential. What you share with me stays between us (with a few important exceptions required by law, which I'll explain clearly). You won't be lectured. You won't be judged. You'll be heard.
We'll work at your pace, on your terms. My job is to help you understand what's driving the substance use and to help you build a life that feels worth living without it.
Warning Signs in Teens
If you're a parent or guardian, watch for these signs:
- Sudden changes in friend groups or social withdrawal
- Declining grades or loss of interest in school
- Changes in sleep patterns or energy levels
- Secretive behavior, lying, or unexplained absences
- Mood swings, irritability, or emotional volatility
- Loss of interest in hobbies or activities they once loved
- Physical signs: red eyes, changes in appetite, unusual smells
A Message for Parents: How to Start the Conversation
Approaching your teen about substance use is one of the hardest conversations a parent can have. Fear of pushing them away, fear of making things worse — these are real and valid concerns. Here's what I've found works:
Choose the right moment. Find a calm, private time — not in the heat of an argument. A car ride can actually work well because there's no eye contact pressure.
Lead with love, not accusation. "I've noticed some things that worry me, and I love you too much to stay quiet" opens a door. "I know you've been using drugs" slams it shut.
Listen more than you speak. Your teen needs to feel heard before they'll be willing to hear you.
